Thanks for Joining the Winter Mixer Happy Hour!

Thank you to everyone who attended the Winter Mixer Happy Hour, our first Chamber Mixer of the year! We had a great turn out and a fantastic time. A huge thank you to Good Cheap Food, hosts of the mixer, who provided a cocktail, delicious charcuterie boards, and hors d'oeuvres. Strickland Hollow Tasting Room & Bottle Shop graciously donated a variety of wine, and Kento Igarashi was there taking Valentine’s Day portraits. 

We used the mixer as an opportunity to award this quarter's Star Award. James Bracci, of Mid-County Auto Body and Glass, accepted the award for the Exceptional Customer Service he provides the Greater Delhi Community. When he accepted the award he expressed his gratitude to the community, his passion for helping and connecting with others, and his sustained interest in being there for the Greater Delhi Area, of course all said with his distinctive humor and candor.

The mixer was a great opportunity to hear from Lisa Wisely, who is now the Chamber President. She announced the new Chamber Board members who are Dave Rama Sr., Jerry Pellegrino, and James Arrufat. Overall it was a wonderful way to start the year, meet new people, and celebrate the Greater Delhi Area. We can’t wait to see you at the next one!

Winter Mixer Happy Hour & Star Award

The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to the Winter Mixer Happy Hour and Star Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, February 7th at Good Cheap Food. From 5pm-7pm, enjoy cocktails and hor d'oeuvres prepared from the great selection of items at Good Cheap Food. 

This quarter's Star Award for exceptional customer service to our community will be awarded to James Bracci from Mid-County Auto Body and Glass. Mid-County Auto Body and Glass provides quality auto-body and collision services led by the charge of James Bracci who greets each customer with friendly professionalism.

Save the date for the upcoming Chamber Mixer at Good Cheap Food!

On Wednesday, February 7th from 5-7pm, the Chamber will give away a Star Award and Good Cheap Food will provide food, cocktails, and will be offering Valentine’s Day Portraits! This is a great evening to mingle with the business community of Delhi while enjoying a sampling of food from Good Cheap Food.

Join us for our Next Mixer on August 29th

The next Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce Mixer will be held on Tuesday, August 29th from 5-7pm at Strickland Hollow Farm in Meridale. In addition to their bottle shop and tasting room and new eatery on Main Street in Delhi, Jerry and Erica have a working farm where they host events like weddings and produce their own line of distilled spirits.

Spend an evening meeting fellow business owners and community supporters on this stunning farm. There will be food provided by a number of local chefs including Matt Marchese, Ed O’Neill from The Shire, Jonah Shaw from Quarter Moon Cafe, Catskill Smokehouse and Good Cheap Food and Jerry Pellegrino who has bee in the restaurant business for decades and is now serving food at the Strickland Hollow Shop from Wednesday through Saturday each week.

There will be a Strickland Hollow signature cocktail and an open mic in case you are feeling like performing.

These networking events are a chance to make connections and a chance to find out what is going on the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce. If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to hello@visitdelhiny.org.

Thank you to everyone who attended the most recent Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce networking mixer. This was originally scheduled to be a ribbon cutting to celebrate THE LOCALE, the Shire’s new outdoor experience but due to bad weather and air quality, we hosted this event inside. While we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoors or celebrate the new space, we did enjoy every minute of the mixer.

We used this party to award a check to DBS (Delaware Business Systems) of Delhi who were one of our two 2023 Pellegrino Grant recipients. The other award of $2,500 went to Delaware County Historical Society.

We also used this mixer as an opportunity to give out our 2023 Star Awards.

• Business Award: Allison Oil

• Customer Service: Johnathan Squires from Price Chopper

These mixers are an opportunity for members or people interested in getting involved in the Chamber to find out who we are and what we are doing. We will be hosting our next mixer at Strickland Hollow Farms in Meridale in July. Check our site and newsletters for information on the next one.

Chamber Mixer and Grand Opening

The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the next networking mixer and ribbon cutting at the opening of O’Neill’s Shire Pub’s new patio bar, The Locale. 

We will also use this opportunity to give out our 2023 Star Awards.

The event is from 5-7pm. This event is free and open to all members and potential members of the Greater Delhi Chamber of Commerce. 21+ only.

While we don’t have all the details yet, we are letting everyone know that we have scheduled the next Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce Mixer on Thursday, June 8th, 2023. Please save the date and join us as we celebrate the new outdoor bar at The Shire Pub in Delhi. Keep an eye out on the member emails, social media and this website. We will post more details shortly.

Happy Hour & Ribbon Cutting January 2023

The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a happy hour and ribbon cutting at EightyMain on Thursday, January 19th. The newly formed board of the Chamber welcomed a great group of business owners and supporters to celebrate the new year and this relatively new restaurant to the Delhi area. Although EightyMain opened in summer of 2022, this was the first chance that the Chamber had to recognize this delicious new addition to Main Street. Guests feasted on delectable appetizers and cocktails prepared by co-owners, Will and James.

We were thrilled to host our 2022 Star Awards at The Hamden Inn where we celebrated the individuals and organizations that support our business community. On Thursday, November 17th, we honored the following with Star Awards.

We also used this opportunity to thank Hope DellaCrosse Knapp who has served as the President of the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce for several years. Hope is stepping down from her role as President. We used this gathering as an opportunity to wish her the best and thank her for all her hard work and dedication, serving the business community of our area.

Community Star Awards were given to individuals at BlueStone on Friday by the Great Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce. David Arehart recieved the Community Customer Service Star; Bill Cairns, June Barriger, & Chris Maney were awarded the Community Volunteer Star; O’Connor Hospital received the Community Business Star; Al Perkins received the Community Volunteer of the Year Star & an award from Senator Jen Metzger.
