The Delhi Bridge Run Committee is pleased to announce the winners of the 2026 Delhi Bridge Run Scholarship.
The Scholarship is awarded annually to graduating seniors from Delaware County and a club or charity of their choice. Applicants must submit an essay in which they explain why this club/charity is important to them and why they feel the Bridge Run should support the organization. This year through the generosity of our amazing sponsors and dedicated runners, we were fortunate enough to raise enough money to award three scholarships. All three winners and their club/charity each received $1,000.
This year’s winners are Kahrin Vesterfelt from Walton Central School who wrote about Open Catskills. Kahrin is shown with Delhi Bridge Run Committee members Lisa Henderson and Hope DellaCrosse Knapp as well as Open Catskill board members Dan Gashler, Sangetta Pratap, Erin Wagner and Mina Takahashi.
Delana Wood, also from Walton who wrote about FFA. Delana is shown with Bridge Run Committee members as well as Walton Principal Arthur Loomis and FFA Advisor Kylee VanBuren.
And Abigail Boyce from Sidney Central School who wrote about the Sidney Students Against Destructive Decisions club. Abigail is shown with Delhi Bridge Run Committee members and Jonathan Yurka, advisor to SSADD.
