Delhi Farmers' Market Moves Outside!

The time has come for the Delhi Farmers’ Market to get a little Vitamin D! The market moves outside this Wednesday, May 7th, for what will be another fantastic season for the outdoor Delhi Farmers’ Market. Over 40 regular vendors fill Courthouse Square each week to sell local meat and produce, art and jewelry, herbal remedies and baked goods, and everything in between. The event brings the town to life and creates a feeling of connection, joy, and bounty that can be felt by all who attend. Make plans to meet your friends for lunch at the market and shop for all your weekly grocery needs.

Green Sun Orchard is a family-owned orchard in Trout Creek, NY. With their heirloom apples they make skillfully fermented ciders, cider donuts and other apple products. This spring they are excited to announce the release of new wines and ciders for the season. The first to be released this spring is Culper Ring. This 2023 ferment is made exclusively out of their very own Northern Spy apples.

Chesterbury Farms is back at the Delhi Farmers’ Market with gourmet mushrooms farmed in Davenport, NY. The farm was founded in 2019 and grows a variety of mushrooms that rotate seasonally including oyster mushrooms, king trumpet, chestnut, lion's mane, pioppino, and shiitake. The Farmer’s Wife, Barb Hanselman of Del-Rose Farm, makes fresh pies and baked goods, selling them weekly at the farmers’ market in Delhi. Seasonally, her pies are sold at the Del-Rose Farm stand (and other local farm stands!) alongside fresh produce and sweet corn.

Burn Ayr Farm is a multi-generational farm located on Route 28 in Delhi, NY. The farm has gone through a variety of iterations since its 1890 beginnings. Burn Ayr Farm was once a dairy farm, and throughout the early 90’s a high-profile organic vegetable producer. Now Burn Ayr produces 100% grass-fed Highland beef cattle and heritage hogs. You can purchase beef and pork products weekly at the Delhi Farmers’ Market and by appointment from the farm. From May-October, stop by the farm stand on Route 28 for local produce. Double Z Farm is a family farm in Delhi, NY. They offer a special variety of items at the Delhi Farmers’ Market including lamb, beef, chicken, and rabbit. Double Z offers alpaca yarn and suet feeders stuffed with alpaca fur that provide nesting birds with soft materials to add to their nests. Abba’s Acres is a family-farm founded in 2010 in Richmondville, NY. Matthew and Jerri Betsinger, the founders of Abba’s Acres, purchased Jerri’s grandparents property and grew inspired by the possibility of the land. They started off with eggs and then quickly moved into poultry and produce. Their kids developed a passion for farming and started their own endeavors by farming bees, producing maple syrup and baking a variety of goods.
