Farmers' Market Feature: dear native grapes
Dear native grapes, is a vineyard and winery in Walton, NY. The vineyard is dedicated to growing North American native and hybrid grapes to honor and restore grapes that were once very popular in North American winemaking. The winegrowing methods used by the owners, Deanna Urciuoli and Alfie Alcántara, are modeled after holistic and regenerative philosophies, applied both on the farm and in the cellar. How to Promote Your Event
We wanted to take a minute to let our members know how to go about promoting an event that you are hosting. As board members and those active in the Chamber, we currently get phone calls, text messages, messages through Facebook, messages through Instagram, people stopping us on the street. We are not able to keep track of the volume of requests and information you are sharing so we’d love to tell you how we can best help you.
Please note, we share events that your business hosts. We do not share every businesses regular hours or when they are regularly open. This would be too much for us to keep track of. If you have special hours for a specific weekend or are making a major change to your regular hours, we can absolutely promote that.
FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET YOUR EVENT ON OUR RADAR:
Option #1— Submit your event to our EVENTS calendar.
Our calendar can be updated by you directly. We are alerted when an event is submitted. This allows us to approve your event and then promote it through our social media and/or wherever appropriate.

We suggest you also do the same for the County tourism site which can be found here.
Option #2— Tag us in your Instagram Post
If you are an Instagram user, the easiest way for us to share information about your event is for you to create an Instagram POST that we can easily share. Include us by using @visitdelhiNY or tag us #visitdelhiny. We search both often, we will find your post and we will share it if appropriate. For tips on how to create a successful event post on your social media, read our article here. We prefer to promote static posts in your Instagram or Facebook feed that does not contain music. Providing a static posts (not animated or video without sound) allows us for a greater capability to share.
Option #3— Send an email
Provide all the details that we will need including an image or graphic to hello@visitdelhiny.org. Sending us just the name and the date of the event is not enough. Full details are required in order for us to promote properly.
Following these methods over text or messages on other platforms will allow us to do a better job promoting. As always, the more time you give us to promote the event, the better.

Good Cheap Food has been a staple in the community for decades, beginning as a buying club in a spare bedroom in 1976. The store moved around to a few locations in Delhi before settling into the storefront we all know and love. Good Cheap Food is a full-service whole foods and specialty foods store on Main Street in Delhi, NY, that provides local food and quality products to the community year round. Good Cheap Food is going to be open late on Fridays through the New Year for their holiday shopping event, Friday Night Lights. Each Friday, they will be open late and will have small bites available by donation to benefit The Backpack Program at Delaware Academy. Farmers’ Market Feature: The Farmer’s Wife
The Farmer’s Wife, Barbara Hanselman of Del-Rose Farm, bakes fresh pies and other baked goods, selling them weekly at the Delhi Farmers’ Market. During this holiday season, buy one of her pies to enjoy at your holiday party! Seasonally, The Farmer’s Wife pies are sold at the Del-Rose Farm Stand (and other local farm stands!) alongside produce and other local goods.

Farmers' Market Feature: Burn Ayr Farm
Burn Ayr Farm on Route 28 in Delhi, NY, has been a family farm since 1890 with two generations of the Sullivans working the farm today. They offer a variety of cuts of beef and pork, available at the Delhi Farmers’ Market and directly from the farm. This November 29th and 30th they are hosting their annual holiday market from 10am-4pm inside their roadside farm stand at 21031 NY 28, just outside the village of Delhi. Delhi Holiday Parade & Tree Lighting
The Delhi Holiday Parade is Friday, December 6th, beginning at 5:30pm! Santa will arrive in Delhi, NY, during the Holiday on the Farm themed parade and will spend time in Courthouse Square for photos! Enjoy the Jonesey Jubilee following the parade with activities in Courthouse Square and the tree lighting at 6pm.
Join us on the square for a variety of events including DJ Sisco and photographer Kento Igarashi taking photos of kids with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Delhi Farmers’ Market, which takes place every single Wednesday of the year from 10am-2pm, features local farmers and makers. Find meat, baked goods, produce, preserves, pies, honey, and everything in between.

Chesterbury Farms is a gourmet mushroom farm that was founded in Davenport, NY, in 2019. The farm grows a variety of gourmet mushrooms that rotate seasonally including Oyster Mushrooms, King Trumpet, Chestnut, Lions Mane, Pioppino, and Shiitake. Early Voting ends Sunday

Community: Early Voting ends Sunday
Early voting for the General Election ends on Sunday, November 3. Registered voters can visit the Board of Elections Office at 97 Main St, Suite 5 in Delhi today, Friday, November 1 between 8:30AM and 4:30PM, and on Saturday and Sunday between 9AM and 5PM to cast their vote.
The Board of Elections Office is accessible to voters with disabilities. If a voter casts a ballot during early voting the voter will not be allowed to vote on Election Day.
The General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 5 at the Public Safety Building at 280 Phoebe Lane in Delhi from 6AM until 9PM.

First Indoor Farmers' Market!
The Delhi Farmers’ Market has officially moved indoors until spring! The market will continue each Wednesday, from 10am-2pm, now from the indoor comfort of the Delhi American Legion. If you have yet to visit the legion, you are in for a treat. The room where the farmers’ market is held is full of character with a beautiful wooden ceiling and beams. Supporting local farmers’ through the colder months is a great way to help sustain their presence in our community. Farmers’ are growing greens and vegetables inside greenhouses to provide the community with fresh vegetables year round. Find fresh baked goods, honey, maple syrup, jewelry, and much more at the indoors Delhi Farmers’ Market this season!

One Remaining Outdoor Farmers' Market
The Delhi Farmers’ Market is a huge attraction each summer in the village of Delhi and this summer was no different. With over 50 vendors each week, the community had a bounty of produce, baked goods, preserves, herbal products, and much more at their fingertips. The food vendors provided a destination for lunch, and Courthouse Square was a wonderful place to spend the afternoon. After a successful outdoor season, the market will move indoors to the Delhi American Legion on November 6th. You can still get your farmers’ market haul deep into the throes of winter.
