The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its quarterly mixer, the Winter Mixer Happy Hour, this past Tuesday, February 18th at PICC’S Pub on Main Street. Lisa Wisely, the President of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce, greeted everyone with a lovely introduction about the purpose of the Chamber of Commerce and shared about the Pellegrino Grant. The Pellegrino Grant provides funds to two Delhi area businesses that are making beautification improvements, as a way to enhance the charm of Delhi. Wisely shared that grant applications are now live and applications will be accepted until March 31st.

Following the introduction, Lisa Wisely welcomed Matt Krzyston, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, to announce this quarter's Star Award recipients.

Cindi and Jim Smart were awarded a Community Volunteer Star Award for their amazing stewardship to the village of Delhi. Whether you know Cindi and Jim personally or not, you have most likely seen them walking around the village picking up trash along the way. They humbly accepted the award and shared how they found their way to move to the Greater Delhi Area. On a beautiful summer evening they were visiting the village of Delhi and happened upon the Fair on the Square. They were captivated by the charming July festival and decided to put down roots in the area.
