Wayside Cider Celebrates 10 Years of Cider, Music and Community in Andes

Ten years, countless gatherings, incredible music, and a whole lot of great cider. On Saturday, October 17, Wayside Cider is celebrating a decade in Andes with a birthday bash worthy of the occasion.

There are certain places that become part of the fabric of a community. Places where you know you'll run into a familiar face, where an ordinary evening can turn into a memorable one, and where visitors quickly understand what makes a small Catskills town so special.

For the past ten years, Wayside Cider has been one of those places.

Located on Redden Lane in Andes, Wayside Cider has built a loyal following not only for its distinctive ciders but also for the welcoming atmosphere and experiences it has created along the way. Under the leadership of owner Irene Hussey, Wayside has become a beloved gathering place for locals and visitors alike.

A Place That Brings People Together

Over the years, Wayside has hosted an incredible range of live music, private celebrations, community gatherings and memorable evenings. Its inviting taproom has become a destination in its own right, offering the kind of relaxed, authentic Catskills experience that keeps people coming back.

And then there's Thursday night.

Wayside's weekly Locals Night has become a favorite tradition, giving neighbors and friends a reason to gather, catch up and enjoy an evening together. It's the sort of simple, meaningful tradition that makes a small community feel like home.

Much of Wayside's appeal comes from the people behind it. Irene and her wonderful staff have created a place that feels genuinely welcoming, whether you're a longtime regular or walking through the door for the very first time.

Celebrating a Decade of Wayside

On Saturday, October 17, 2026, Wayside Cider will mark its tenth anniversary with a special birthday celebration at its taproom in Andes.

The festivities will include an open bar, a delicious dinner, the debut of two brand-new ciders and live music from The Flatbed Band.
