Welcome to Delhi, Broncos!

There’s a special energy in Delhi when SUNY Delhi students return to campus each fall—and it’s almost here.

SUNY Delhi’s Fall 2026 Welcome Week begins Tuesday, August 25, with new residential students moving in that morning and a full week of activities designed to introduce incoming students to campus life and help them feel at home in their new community.

From all of us at the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce, we want to add another message to the official campus welcome: Welcome to Delhi!

SUNY Delhi and the greater Delhi community are deeply connected, and we want students to know that their college experience doesn’t have to stop at the edge of campus. Walk down Main Street. Grab breakfast or dinner at a local restaurant. Visit the Delhi Farmers’ Market. Discover our shops, cafés, parks, trails, arts organizations and community events. Meet the people who live and work here.

We also want to extend that invitation to parents and families. While move-in day may be your first introduction to Delhi, we hope it won’t be your last.

A particularly good reason to return is SUNY Delhi Fall Weekend for Alumni, Families & Friends, September 25–27. The weekend brings together students, families, alumni, the college and the surrounding community for three days of activities—and Saturday offers a perfect opportunity to explore downtown.

On Saturday, September 26, the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce will host the annual Delhi Harvest Festival from 10 AM–4 PM. Courthouse Square and Main Street will come alive with vendors, shopping, food and plenty of fall fun. SUNY Delhi’s Fall Weekend schedule specifically includes the Harvest Festival among its weekend activities, making it a wonderful opportunity for families to experience both the campus and the community their students call home.

Building an even stronger relationship between SUNY Delhi and the greater Delhi area is important to us. Students bring tremendous energy, ideas and talent to our community, while our local businesses, organizations and residents can offer students experiences, relationships and opportunities that extend far beyond the classroom.

So, Class of 2030, as you arrive in Delhi and begin this next chapter: we’re glad you’re here. Welcome to your new community.

And to our returning Broncos and SUNY Delhi families: welcome back.
