The fun continues throughout the weekend with Meredith Dairy Fest on June 13 and 14.

A longtime community favorite, Dairy Fest celebrates the agricultural traditions that have helped shape Delaware County for generations. Visitors can enjoy activities, entertainment, vendors, food, and family-friendly fun while experiencing one of the region's signature summer events.

While visiting Meredith, be sure to stop by Stonewall at The Meredith, which will be opening at 10 a.m. both days. Whether you're looking for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or simply a refreshing beverage between Dairy Fest activities, Stonewall will be welcoming visitors throughout the weekend.

Saturday, June 13: Treadwell Heritage Day & Annual Lawn Sale

One of the area's favorite annual traditions returns to Treadwell on Saturday, June 13.

Treadwell Heritage Day and the Annual Lawn Sale bring together residents, visitors, vendors, local organizations, and community groups for a day of shopping, history, food, and small-town charm. Visitors can browse treasures throughout town while learning more about the rich history that makes Treadwell such a special part of Delaware County.

Be sure to stop by and support the Treadwell Fire Department, which will be serving food throughout the day. Community events like this are made possible by local volunteers, and supporting the fire department is a great way to give back while enjoying a delicious meal.

Also taking place on Saturday is Delaware County Pride at the Andes Hotel.

This annual celebration brings together community members, families, friends, and visitors for a day focused on inclusion, connection, and celebration. Pride events continue to grow throughout Delaware County and have become important opportunities for people from all backgrounds to come together and celebrate the diversity that strengthens our communities.

The Andes Hotel provides a welcoming setting for a day filled with music, entertainment, food, and community spirit.

Saturday, June 13: Pies & Pies & Thighs at Cafe Mutsi

It's a wonderful opportunity for the community to support local arts and celebrate the talents of performers of all ages.

Sunday, June 14: Free Concert Featuring The Fisher Cats

Music lovers won't want to miss a free performance by The Fisher Cats on Sunday, June 14.

Led by six-time Grammy Award winner Joe Ferla, The Fisher Cats perform a blend of rhythm and blues and classic rock. Ferla's impressive career includes work with legendary artists including Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack, Donny Hathaway, Marianne Faithfull, John Mayer, and Regina Carter.

The concert is part of WKC's new FIELD NOTES series, an ongoing collection of free concerts, jam sessions, artist skill-sharing opportunities, open studios, and workshops designed to strengthen creative connections throughout the region.

Summer Is Officially Here in The Delhi Area

Beyond this weekend's events, signs of summer are appearing throughout the area.

The Delhi Pool is open for the season, providing a refreshing way for residents and visitors to cool off during warm summer days including water aerobics Monday through Thursday through August. Swimming lessons at SUNY Delhi and youth tennis and little league programs are helping local children stay active, learn new skills, and make the most of the season.

And of course, one of the greatest pleasures of summer is outdoor dining.

Whether you're enjoying dinner on the back at The Shire Pub, gathering with friends under the umbrellas at Strickland Hollow Cafe, grabbing a slice outside at Delhi Pizza Company, grabbing lunch at Good Cheap Food, or relaxing outdoors on the golf course at Bluestone, summer dining offers a chance to slow down and enjoy a meal and drink outdoors right in Delhi.

Wherever your weekend takes you, we encourage you to shop local, support local organizations, attend community events, and enjoy everything that makes this region such a special place to live, work, and visit.

Be on the look out for our new postcards available at small businesses throughout the area!

What’s Coming up in the Delhi Area?

As summer season begins to take shape across Delaware County, there’s no shortage of activity happening in and around the greater Delhi area. From arts and community events to public workshops and seasonal celebrations, the region continues to showcase the creativity, collaboration and small-town energy that make this area so special.

The local arts community continues to gain recognition and momentum following the recent success of Upstate Art Weekend, which welcomed visitors into artist studios and creative spaces across the region. New Chamber member GG Stankiewicz Studio was recently featured in The Reporter for her participation in the event and her unique handmade paper art created from locally harvested plants and natural materials.

As part of that continued momentum, GG Stankiewicz will also host “Art Wednesdays” open studio hours from 10 AM – 2 PM on select Wednesdays throughout the summer during the Delhi Farmers’ Market season.

The summer season also brings continued promotion of the greater Delhi area to visitors traveling throughout the region. The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce will once again have a billboard campaign running along Interstate 88 in Oneonta this summer, welcoming travelers and baseball families visiting the area and encouraging them to explore Delhi’s shops, restaurants, events and outdoor experiences. We’re excited to continue introducing new visitors to everything the Delhi area has to offer while supporting our local businesses during the busy summer months.

Coming up first on the calendar is a public celebration for the release of The Findery’s Issue 3 on Saturday, May 30 from 3–7 PM at Wayside Cider. The event will feature local snacks, creative conversation, community gathering and great cider as the region heads into summer.

On Monday, June 2, community members are invited to attend the Delhi Rotary Club Spring Social at Bushel Collective. The evening offers a chance to connect with neighbors, local leaders and community organizations in a relaxed and welcoming environment. This is being held the same evening as the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce Mixer at Steady Slope Strength.

The beloved Delhi Bridge Run returns on Saturday, June 6 for its 30th annual race through the heart of the Village of Delhi. The community-centered 5K begins and ends in Hoyt Park and continues to bring together runners, walkers, volunteers and supporters from throughout the region for a fun and energetic morning in Delaware County. Proceeds from the event support scholarships for graduating Delaware County seniors as well as local school and community organizations, continuing a tradition that has positively impacted local students for decades. The event has become one of Delhi’s signature early summer traditions and a great opportunity for visitors to experience the community while supporting a meaningful local cause.

Then on Saturday, June 7, Pink Street Festival returns to the area and organizers are currently seeking vendors for the event. The festival continues to grow as a colorful and community-centered celebration bringing together artists, musicians, makers and visitors from throughout the region.

Residents are also encouraged to participate in the Town and Village of Delhi Joint Comprehensive Plan Public Workshop taking place on Wednesday, June 10 at Bluestone at Scotch Mountain. The workshop will focus on the future vision, growth and planning priorities for the Delhi community and offers an important opportunity for public input.

As always, the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce encourages residents and visitors alike to support local businesses, attend community events and explore all that makes the greater Delhi area such a vibrant place to live, work and visit.

Be sure to check the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce events calendar regularly to stay updated on everything happening throughout the area over the coming weeks.

Event Season Heating Up: What's going on in the Delhi Area

As the weather warms up across Delaware County, one thing becomes very clear—event season in the greater Delhi area is officially back.

From live music and community gatherings to history programs, rummage sales, and cultural events, the next few weeks are packed with reasons to get out, explore, and experience everything happening throughout the region. Whether you’re a local looking for weekend plans or a visitor planning a spring getaway, now is the perfect time to start checking the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce events calendar regularly.

One upcoming highlight is the performance by Julian Fleisher at West Kortright Centre. Known for bringing nationally recognized musicians, performers, and artists to Delaware County, West Kortright Centre continues to be one of the area’s most unique cultural destinations, offering intimate performances in a beautiful rural setting.

Community traditions are also returning this spring, including the annual Heart of the Catskills Rummage Sale taking place Friday, May 15th and Saturday, May 16th. Organized by Heart of the Catskills Humane Society, the event has become a favorite for bargain hunters, treasure seekers, and supporters of local animal rescue efforts alike.

Meanwhile, the Delaware County Historical Association continues to offer engaging programs and events that help celebrate and preserve the rich history of the region. Their seasonal programming gives both residents and visitors another great reason to spend time exploring Delhi and the surrounding communities. They are kicking off the country’s 250th celebration with an event on Saturday, May 16th.

Another major event bringing energy and visitors to the area this spring is graduation weekend at SUNY Delhi on May 16. Families and friends from across the region and beyond will be traveling to Delhi to celebrate graduates, which means increased traffic, busier restaurants, and a lively atmosphere throughout the community. If you’re planning to visit for graduation weekend, we encourage you to book accommodations early and explore the many lodging options available throughout the greater Delhi area.

Be sure to check the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce events calendar regularly to stay updated on everything happening throughout the area over the coming weeks.

Supporting Tourism, Strengthening Community: Celebrating 2026 Grant Recipients

The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to congratulate a few of our members—and projects we were honored to fiscally sponsor—on receiving 2026 Delaware County Tourism Development and Promotion Grants through Delaware County Economic Development.

This annual grant program supports projects, events, and initiatives that strengthen Delaware County’s tourism economy, attract visitors, and enhance the county’s profile as a year-round destination. From cultural programming to destination marketing and special events, these grants help bring new energy and opportunity to communities across the county.

We are especially excited to celebrate The Findery and Kings, two projects for which the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce proudly served as fiscal sponsor during the grant application process. Supporting strong local ideas and helping businesses and organizations access funding opportunities is an important part of our mission, and we are thrilled to see both projects recognized.

We also want to congratulate West Kortright Centre, another Chamber member, on receiving funding as part of this year’s program. Their continued work in arts, culture, and community engagement plays an important role in bringing visitors to the region and enriching the local experience.

These investments help strengthen Delaware County as a destination while supporting the businesses, organizations, and creative leaders who make our communities vibrant places to live, work, and visit. We are proud to celebrate these recipients and look forward to seeing their projects come to life. Click here to find the entire list of grant winners.

We are happy to offer that sponsorship as a non-profit organization. Sponsorship is open to all Delaware County based members of the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce.

History of the Grant

Funds raised through the county occupancy tax are utilized to support the implementation of programs designed to promote and increase tourism in Delaware County, as well as projects relating to capital and infrastructure investments supporting the further development of this industry.

Bramley Mountain Fire Tower Joins the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge for 2026

A Perfect Reason to Plan a Trip to the Delhi Area

Exciting news for hikers, outdoor enthusiasts, and Catskills explorers: the Bramley Mountain Fire Tower has officially been added to the 2026 Catskills Fire Tower Challenge, hosted by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation. Bramley Mountain now joins a celebrated list of historic fire towers, including Mount Utsayantha in Stamford, inviting visitors to experience sweeping Catskills views while exploring the natural beauty of Delaware County.

The Catskills Fire Tower Challenge encourages experienced hikers to visit the region’s remaining fire towers, including Balsam Lake Mountain, Hunter Mountain, Overlook Mountain, Red Hill, Tremper Mountain, the Upper Esopus Fire Tower at the Catskills Visitor Center—and now Bramley Mountain right here in Delhi. According to DEC Commissioner Amanda Lefton, the challenge inspires New Yorkers and visitors alike to “get offline and outside,” discover the Catskills from new heights, and foster a deeper appreciation for New York’s public lands.

The tower’s first staffed season was a tremendous success. Volunteer stewards welcomed visitors every weekend and holiday from Memorial Day Weekend through Indigenous Peoples’ Day, with only two rainouts despite a wet start to the season. Visitor numbers were strong throughout the year, with more than 100 people visiting on multiple days and a peak of 113 visitors on October 11 alone. Feedback from hikers consistently highlighted how informative, welcoming, and enthusiastic the volunteer stewards were.

The impact has been clear: trail counters recorded 2,217 hikers between June and August 2025—nearly triple the number from the same period in 2024. With inclusion in the 2026 Fire Tower Challenge, interest is expected to grow even more.

For those looking ahead to 2026, now is the perfect time to plan a trip to the Delhi area. Pair your hike with local dining, shopping, lodging, and cultural experiences, and make a weekend—or longer—out of your Catskills adventure. The Friends of Bramley Mountain Fire Tower are also seeking additional volunteer stewards for the upcoming season; those interested can learn more by contacting info@bramleymountainfiretower.org.

Whether you’re checking off fire towers, chasing fall foliage, or simply looking for fresh air and unforgettable views, Bramley Mountain’s inclusion in the Catskills Fire Tower Challenge makes Delhi an even more compelling destination for 2026. You can learn more about Friends of Bramley Mountain here.

Fall Hiking in the Greater Delhi Area

Cooler temperatures have arrived, with a sprinkle of warmer days mixed in, and it's the perfect time to hit the trails. If you know where to look, there is no shortage of beautiful hiking locations within a quick drive of Delhi.

The Gribley Trail is a 3 mile trail located on Sheldon Drive passing behind Delaware Academy. This trail makes a loop yet provides options to connect with Frightful Falls Trail and Bulldog Run Trail depending on the length and elevation you would like to hike. Together these three trails make up the Delhi Trails at Mt. Crawford

The Smith Pond Trail is an easy 1.1 mile hike with its trailhead on Route 28 opposite of Delaware Academy. It follows the West Branch of the Delaware River through grasslands and mixed forest.

Photo of the Delhi EDU Center

For a trail intended to provide a full body workout, visit the Community Fitness Trail. This half mile trail has six fitness features and two picnic tables.

The SUNY Delhi Outdoor Education Center is a 40 acre park with trails that meander through old farm fields and dip down to the Delaware River. There is a labyrinth, a butterfly garden, fishing access, picnic tables and education markers sharing knowledge of native trees.

The Bramley Mountain Trail and Fire Tower is a 4 mile loop that passes through an abandoned bluestone quarry, past small cliffs and enclaves, with expansive views and fire tower at the top.

Take advantage of this time of year and the gorgeous trails that the Catskill 3500 Club have worked so hard to establish. See you out there!

Village of Delhi Welcomes Kayak Rentals

The village of Delhi has an easily accessible self-serve kayak rental at Hoyt Park. Renting the kayak is easy! Download the app, unlock the equipment, enjoy your paddle, and return! Oftentimes, experienced kayakers paddle in rivers while newcomers and first-timers venture to still bodies of water such as large ponds or small lakes.

It is important to be prepared before you embark on your kayaking adventure! Though the kayaks are available right along the West Branch Delaware River, if you have never used a kayak, consider bringing the kayak to a pond or lake. Below are important considerations to make before beginning a kayak adventure:

-Plan a trip for your experience level
If this is your first time kayaking, consider beginning at a pond or lake. If you are an experienced kayaker, the river may be an appropriate option for you.

-Research local hazards and weather
When the area receives heavy rainfall in a short period of time, the water level will rise making for a more rapid experience on the river. If there has been recent flooding or storms, trees may be down in the river creating a hazard to avoid. Make sure you are aware of the possibilities before beginning your adventure.

-Know your float plan
If kayaking down the river, make sure you know where you will exit the water and have a vehicle there to retrieve the kayak. Kayaks will need to be brought back to the rental location at Hoyt Park.

-Wear a lifejacket
A Personal Floatation Device is mandatory in NYS. Make sure you wear the lifejacket provided.

-Dress for immersion
Even if it isn’t your plan, you may end up getting wet or even fully immersed. Make sure you are dressed in clothing you can swim in.
