Berry Brook Farm is an organic vegetable farm located in Hamden. The farming duo started Berry Brook in Delancy in 2013 and purchased their forever farm in Hamden in 2019. With a love for hard-work and sustainable agriculture, this farm is dedicated to organic farming and distributing their produce to the local community. Berry Brook participates in the 607 CSA, which makes their vegetable accessible to those in the Catskills and beyond.

Chamber Member Spotlight: O'Neill's Shire Pub

The O’Neill’s Shire Pub offers classics done right with a touch of cutting edge on Main Street in Delhi, NY. They offer micro brews, your American beer favorites, cocktails, a vast pub menu and more. Attend one of their events like weekly Trivia night on Wednesdays, Karaoke on Thursdays, and the annual St. Patrick’s Day party after the parade. This fun hometown pub has a large dining room for dining with family and pub dining for a night out with friends.

Maple Weekend March 18-19 and March 25-26

A very exciting annual tradition returns to the Catskills and Greater Delhi Area. March 18-19 and March 25-26 is Maple Weekend! This is an amazing chance for the public to visit maple farms, learn about the maple sugar making process and taste pure maple sugar in its many forms – right from the source. This event is organized and sponsored by the New York State Maple Producers’ Association.

During Maple weekend, you can meet the producers who annually make New York the second largest maple producing state in the U.S!

St. Patrick's Day Parade!

Mark you calendars for the exciting St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Delhi! Be prepared for pipe bands, floats and to cheer on local fire departments. The parade is on Saturday, March 18 beginning at 12pm and is followed by the epic after party at The Shire Pub.

Grab your friends and family and pick a place to watch somewhere between the entrance of SUNY Delhi and Bridge Street.

Strickland Hollow Cooking Classes with a St. Patty's Special

Each week, Strickland Hollow Farm offers participatory cooking classes in their Tasting Room & Bottle Shop on Main Street, Delhi. They offer two different classes every weekend and are serving up something very exciting for St. Patrick’s Day! They are teaching The Cuisine of Ireland

On Friday, March 17th or Saturday, March 18th at 6pm, you will have the opportunity to dive into Irish cuisine. The class will start with smoked Salmon on Irish brown bread with scallion and chive farmhouse cheese spread. Then the class will make the famous potato boxtys stuffed with creamed bacon and garlic & herb stuffed mussels. For the entree, the class will prepare craft Guinness braised beef short ribs with carrot and parsnip puree and crispy cabbage. The meal will be finished with Irish pancakes with apples and nutella. Black Willow Pond Farm is a family farm located in Cobleskill. Coming from 6 generations of farmers, Black Willow Pond Farm takes pride in farming, particularly the quality of their meats and goods. They have a variety of meats available and, since they don’t waste a thing, you can even find treats for your pets. They offer whole chickens, chicken feet, chicken soup kits, pork, pork bones, beef, beef snack sticks, beef bones, lamb, lamb sausage, lamb pelts and so much more. Their dairy products are made from their family's farm down the road.

Black Willow Pond Farm takes pride in their pasture-raised livestock, allowing the animals to live the way they naturally desire to live. The farm abides by strict pasture management and intentionally grazing, which provides their livestock with a vibrant, nutrient rich forage. This all makes for happy and healthy livestock!

Farmers' Market Feature: Bakers Grimm

Bakers Grimm is a bakery operating as a full family affair out of Hamden. Their baked goods are fresh and moving fast! Their small batch classic breads, bagels and pastries often sell out at the market– and with good reason. All their baked goods are made with organic Vermont grown and New York State milled flour and with the best water there is, Catskills water. 

The company is selling their products wholesale in the county and weekly at area markets. Delmar Crim studied at the Culinary Institute of America and started Bakers Grimm after a long career in the restaurant and hospitality industry. His extraordinary experience is present in the quality of his baked goods. He operates Bakers Grimm with his wife, Carla, and the help of his two teenagers, Louis or Marissa.

Delhi Bridge Run

The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to be hosting The Delhi Bridge Run this year. Now in its 27th year, this year’s race will take place on Saturday, June 3rd and will again be a 5K run/walk that will start and end in Hoyt Park in Delhi, NY.

The beloved 5K walk/run was previously hosted by the CLASI organization. The Chamber is thrilled to now be working with planning committee members Lisa Henderson and Sarah Poole and we are excited a part of this incredible event and the spotlight it brings to the community and youth organizations of the area.

Delaware County 2023 Tourism Grant

Delaware County has launched the 2023 Tourism Grant. This grant program, an action of the Delaware County Board of Supervisors and Delaware County Tourism Advisory Board, is intended to give local businesses and local nonprofits assistance in bringing forward an initiative that will increase visitors, visitor frequency and visitor spending.

The Delaware County Occupancy tax was enacted into law for the purpose of creating a dedicated funding stream to promote and develop the tourism industry within Delaware County to stimulate economic growth. Funds raised through the occupancy tax will be utilized to support the implementation of programs designed to promote and increase tourism in Delaware County. 


The applications are open with two different deadlines. The first, Tuesday, February 28th, for non-profits and municipalities and Wednesday, March 22nd for for-profit businesses and tourism-related projects. Find out more and apply here.

Argosy Designs is a design and fabrication company specializing in custom metal work. They focus on interior and architectural design projects for residential and commercial spaces, creating staircases, windows, doors, sculpture, hardware, lighting and more. As an extension go this work, they have opened a design wing to produce their own line of furniture, lighting and objects.

Chamber Member Spotlight: Maplewood Farm & Orchard

Spotlight on one of our Greater Delhi Chamber of Commerce Members.

Maplewood Farm & Orchard has a long history in Bovina, spanning all the way back to 1832. The farm has been in the family for nearly two centuries and continues to keep traditions alive with delicious maple products and a thriving apple orchard. 

Duane and his wife Karen, along with their two sons, Cody & Cullen, continue an ancestral family tradition by producing Maple Syrup on the 104-acre property. Remnants of the original sugar house foundation can still be seen today, as well as the barn, and rock foundation of what was an old home. Daffodils still come up in the spring around the foundation stones.

From the 2450 taps on the property, Maplewood Farm & Orchard produces 100% pure maple syrup, maple candies and smooth as silk maple cream, as well as many other delicious products such as peppered maple mustard, maple apple pumpkin spread, candied nuts, granola, lollipops, cotton candy, oatmeal and buttermilk pancake mixes. Karen hand makes these products in her certified Confectionery Kitchen and Gift Shoppe in Delhi. In joint production with maple products, the LaFevers also tend an Apple Orchard. There are 25 varieties to pick including Macintosh, Macon, Honeycrisp & Wellington, just to name a few. Read more on their website and Facebook.

Abba’s Acres is a family farm founded in 2010 in Richmondville. It all started when Matthew and Jerri Betsinger purchased Jerri’s grandparents house and land. Inspired by the possibility of the land, which had been hayed in years prior, they grew interested in using the land themselves. 

They began small with eggs and quickly moved into poultry and produce. Their kids developed a passion for farming and started their own endeavors by farming bees, producing maple syrup and baking a variety of goods.

Delhi Indoor Farmers' Market Every Wednesday

The Delhi Farmers Market has an amazing line up of dedicated farmers, bakers, makers and more. Each week they bring their best with a wide selection of goods. You will find a variety of your kitchen staples– fresh bread, farm fresh cheeses, vegetables, jams, poultry and more. To help ward off the cold, you will find crocheted apparel, distilled spirits, amaryllis bulbs, and homemade pie. If you’d like to add sparkle and shine to your winter, there are unique jewelers at the market. The variety of produce and more makes the Delhi Farmers Market a worthwhile weekly visit. Stop by The Delhi Farmers Market every Wednesday from 10am-2pm inside the Delhi American Legion.

Happy Hour & Ribbon Cutting January 2023

The Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a happy hour and ribbon cutting at EightyMain on Thursday, January 19th. The newly formed board of the Chamber welcomed a great group of business owners and supporters to celebrate the new year and this relatively new restaurant to the Delhi area. Although EightyMain opened in summer of 2022, this was the first chance that the Chamber had to recognize this delicious new addition to Main Street. Guests feasted on delectable appetizers and cocktails prepared by co-owners, Will and James.
